RECORDING SERVICES
Cleveland Sight Center's Recording Service provides persons who are blind, visually impaired, physically and perceptually handicapped with printed materials in a format they can use.
BOOKS ON CD OR TAPE
Requested print materials are recorded for consumers. It may be urgent: a court decision, stock quotations, an overnight reading assignment; or, it may be a lengthy book produced at a leisurely rate for a library. If it is not currently available, we will record it.
VOLUNTEERS WITH VISION
The volunteer who enters this field performs an invaluable service. Recording books is an exacting task that calls for skill, time and patience. Readers with special knowledge of languages, math or science, or experience in radio, theater, etc. are especially helpful. Recording is done at home or at the agency, and some business or personal materials are read directly to print impaired individuals.
