According to "The Economic Impact of Vision Problems" lost productivity, due to vision loss, costs the U.S. economy 8 billion dollars each year1. Adaptive technologies are the tools that people with vision loss use to maintain and regain productivity - and the STORER Center is Cleveland Sight Center's client technology toolbox.
By 2020 the number of adults and seniors with vision loss is projected to grow by 20 percent2. These potential clients will have used computers, cell phones and the Internet for a quarter of a century and will naturally turn to assistive technology to remain productive, independent, employed and engaged.
