Teachers and Schools

Cleveland Sight Center partners with Northeast Ohio school districts to provide educational, recreational and vocational opportunities for students who are blind or have low vision. This partnership allows for active parental involvement and support, collegial assistance for teaching staff and improved use of school district resources.

Humanware is hosting a BrailleNote APEX workshop in Independence, Ohio on May 18, 2015 and is opening it up to others who might want to attend from the NE Ohio area.  There will be no charge to attend and Humanware will be paying for a pizza lunch. Bright Futures Preschool

A specialized preschool at CSC’s main building is offered  for children three to five years old. The standard preschool curriculum is enriched with instruction that addresses the needs of children with vision disabilities and their sighted peers. Learn more about the Bright Futures Preschool

Elementary through High School

CSC staff provides professional and itinerant services to students through partnerships with Northeast Ohio school districts. Services provided include Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and orientation & mobility (O&M). CSC also provides assessments in these areas.
