CSC’s most requested training, Blindness Basics, covers a wide range of curriculum designed to educate participants on range of vision and how to best interact with someone who is blind or visually impaired.

Topics covered:

  • How to greet, communicate and verbally describe environments and actions when engaging with an individual who is visually impaired or blind.
  • Examples on how one can adapt various environments, meetings, documents and behaviors to maximize accessibility and inclusivity.
  • How to provide Human Guide, a method on how to guide a blind or visually impaired individual. The audience can participate in an under-blindfold activity with a partner to practice the technique.
